Neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Nuceiva, Xeomin) are injected into the skin to relax muscles of the face & neck, preventing signs of aging. It can also be used therapeutically to treat migraines, headaches, jaw clenching/pain, neck & shoulder pain, as well as sweating of the underarms or palms of the hands.

What is a Neuromodulator?

Neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Nuceiva, Xeomin) are a class of medications derived from the Botulinum bacteria. The active ingredient is a Health Canada approved purified protein. They are used for various applications cosmetically and therapeutically.

How does a Neuromodulator work?

Wrinkles are the creases we normally see around the eyes, forehead, and frown area. These wrinkles are a result of years of making facial expressions. As we get older, we lose elasticity of the skin and facial wrinkles remain even when our face is at rest.

Neuromodulators work by preventing facial muscles from contracting. When these muscles are relaxed, the skin appears smoother and youthful while also preventing lines from starting or deepening.
