Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, California, Emily is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of University of California at Berkeley and Yale University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (pre-medicine, 2005) and a Master of Science in Nursing (2010). She specialized in pediatric primary care with special interest in dermatology and was awarded the Elizabeth N. Robb Scholarship for academic excellence.
At Berkeley, Emily began her clinical career in research as well as developmental and behavioral pediatrics, serving children with autism spectrum disorders.
Following graduate studies, she worked as a clinical research nurse at Yale University Department of Internal Medicine in addictions medicine. She is a patient advocate and has worked with marginalized patient populations in direct care settings spanning addictions medicine, inpatient psychiatry, and psychiatric emergency medicine in the United States and Canada.
She is the founder of Emily Miller Aesthetic Medicine – a boutique aesthetics clinic in North Vancouver, BC, which she runs with her husband and Medical Director, Dr. Vishal Gupta. In the Emergency Department at Burnaby Hospital Emily worked for nine years with Dr. Gupta. Now in their family business, they are delighted to be working together toward shared goals of excellence and integrity in patient care. Emily Miller Aesthetic Medicine was rated one of Vancouver's Top 5 Best Dermal Filler 2023 and 2024 by Vancouver Best.
Emily is a Certified Aesthetic Medicine Practitioner through the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine (CBAM). She is a lecturing CBAM faculty member and clinical instructor. Emily is an international speaker and has regularly been featured on major television network, The CW, to an audience of three million viewers. Emily delivers evidence-based, patient-centric care that is both detail-oriented and holistic.

Dr.Aida Owlia is a well regarded physician in aesthetic medicine with many years of experience across Canada. She has completed medical school and residency at the University of Ottawa and further completed specialized training in Emergency Medicine at Queen’s University. She subsequently fulfilled her Aesthetic Medicine training with the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine. She has earned various prestigious certifications including those in advanced filler and neurotoxin injections and has worked with many skilled mentors throughout her career. She has incorporated all that knowledge into a unique approach to her aesthetic practice which has maintained the trust and loyalty of her patients over the years.
Dr. Owlia is known for her mastery of creating natural-looking results with injectables while striving for the highest level of safety. She is a national educator for other physicians and nurses wishing to pursue a career in aesthetic medicine in Toronto and Vancouver. Her commitment to education is also reflected in her own practice as she keeps up with the most innovative techniques in the industry to help her patients better achieve their goals in their aesthetic journey with emerging advancements in the field.
She lends her expertise to all her patients in her comprehensive consultations to help her patients best address their aesthetic goals in ways that meets their individual needs. She caters to each patient with utmost care and is committed to maintaining her clientele’s individual beauty and uniqueness.
Eliisha Merz, BA, MSN, NP(F)

Eliisha Merz is an aesthetic nurse practitioner who is as passionate about education as she is about delivering beautiful, natural looking results for her clients.
Medical aesthetics is truly Eliisha’s calling. Growing up in Saskatchewan, she long held an interest in both aesthetics and in healthcare. After moving to BC and completing her Bachelor of Science at the UFV (2009) and Critical Care Certification at BCIT (2011), Eliisha enjoyed working as a critical care RN for nearly eight years. She subsequently returned to school to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at UVic (2017), becoming a family nurse practitioner (NP). As an NP in a busy family practice, Eliisha provides care to people of all ages with a special interest in women’s health and pediatrics.
Eliisha is a Certified Aesthetic Medicine Practitioner through the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine. She holds numerous certifications in aesthetic medicine and has been trained personally by Emily Miller. Eliisha is a talented aesthetic injector with a keen eye for detail who practices with the philosophy that less is more. Her holistic care and dedication has earned her the trust of her many aesthetic patients in Squamish over the years and she is thrilled to bring her practice to Emily Miller Aesthetic Medicine in North Vancouver.

Rachel Dewar is a phenomenally talented aesthetic nurse injector committed to the highest ethics and values in the aesthetics industry. Rachel has trained with multiple world-renowned leaders in aesthetic medicine and is an experienced advanced injector. She continually pursues furthering education, always aiming for the highest standard of patient care.
Emily Miller trained Rachel Dewar personally. The two share the same aesthetic philosophy and vision. Rachel additionally holds numerous certifications in aesthetic medicine and her exceptional skills have given the most beautiful results to her large patient base on Vancouver Island.

Dr. Vishal Gupta MB, BCh, BAO, BMedSc, ABEM

Dr. Vishal Gupta grew up in Vancouver, BC, then went on to a six year medical school program in Dublin, Ireland. He graduated with honours from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) where he won the Desmond Lyons Memorial Medal for excellence in medicine.
Dr. Gupta was selected to complete a four year Emergency Medicine residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. He was then selected for a prestigious fellowship at Yale University in Emergency Medicine Ultrasound. Upon graduating from his fellowship, Dr. Gupta was invited to join Yale University as clinical faculty and was granted the competitive 0-1 United States Visa awarded to people of extraordinary talent. When he returned home to Vancouver he brought his American fiancé, Emily Miller, with him.
In 2013, Dr. Gupta took a position as an emergency medicine physician at Burnaby Hospital, where he's served in leadership roles including UBC Site Lead in Emergency Medicine and Treasurer of the Burnaby Hospital Medical Staff Physician Society. Dr. Gupta is a University of British Columbia (UBC) Clinical Assistant Professor.
Dr. Vishal Gupta is the Co-Founder and Medical Director at Emily Miller Aesthetic Medicine in North Vancouver. Dr. Gupta is a member of Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine (CBAM).
Rana Hosseinisadi

Rana Hosseinisadi holds a Bachelor Degree in Nursing (2014) from Pezeshki University, Iran. After moving to British Columbia, she earned her Accredited Diploma in Advanced Clinical Skin care and Cosmetic Laser Technologies (2018).
She brings years of medical aesthetics experience to Emily Miller Aesthetic Medicine and being fluent in both English and Farsi, communicates her deep knowledge of the skin with our diverse patient community.
Rana conducts our skin treatments to the highest level of patient care and safety. She is a sheer joy and shining star of our team.
